Biography

Ms. Myette began her nursing career in 1985 in critical care and has worked in staff, managerial and executive clinical and administrative positions to serve the healthcare needs of individuals, specific population groups and larger communities. She has worked successfully within a multitude of healthcare and business settings, including academic, community-based, nonprofit, public, and private bringing her unique multi-faceted approach to focus on prevention, immediate care needs, and resolution of chronic conditions. Yvonne is known for her collaborative, innovative, visionary leadership and instructional style to promote identification of best practices, idea sharing, creative problem resolution, and implementation of solutions to improve relationships, processes and quality outcomes. Colleagues recognize her as a responsive and valued nurse leader who has a keen ability to create meaningful dialogue and discussions among diverse groups with varying agendas, issues and needs and foster the development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve improvements. Students will enjoy her energy, enthusiasm, breadth of experience, caring and encouraging style as well as her ability to foster a positive environment of learning which translates into successful outcomes for the class. Students will benefit from her focus on their learning experience and her ability as a coach to adapt her teaching style to meet students where they are. She will challenge them to reach new levels of critical thinking, personal reflection, performing, and success within all aspects of their academic, career and life journey.
