Biography

Dr. Crissy Dodson received her PhD in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also received both her BSN and MSN degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is originally from Madison, NC, but now resides in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Dodson currently teaches in the DNP program as adjunct faculty. Dodson’s research focuses on nursing utilization of pharmacogenomics within practice. Furthermore, she is board certified in advanced diabetes management. Additionally, she is a member of the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium. She was a personalized medicine institute trainee during her time at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has published 9 peer-reviewed research articles as well as presented nationally and internationally on these topics. Dodson is married to a wonderful husband, Chad, and has two children, Isaac and Addyson. She enjoys watching football and travelling.
