Biography

Dr. Julie Rohr has extensive experience teaching in both practice and academic settings. She has worked as a Clinical Professional Development Specialist/Clinical Educator for not-for-profit as well as academic health care systems. Dr. Rohr recently began teaching for the nursing program at Central New Mexico Community College which produces both ADN and BSN graduates. Her academic teaching experience also includes teaching for four years as faculty at the College of Nursing at the University of New Mexico. Additionally, Dr. Rohr spent six years coordinating research for the NIH Neonatal Research Network and the National Children's Study for the Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC) at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Rohr has been licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse/Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist since 1996. Dr. Rohr is a member of Sigma (formerly known as Sigma Theta Tau), the New Mexico Organization of Nurse Leaders, and the Association for Nursing Professional Development. Dr. Rohr is board certified in Nursing Professional Development (RN-BC) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and holds a certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC) from the National Certification Corporation. Dr. Rohr earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Educational Leadership from American Sentinel University, a MSN (Parent-Child Nursing) from the University of New Mexico, and a BSN from the University of New Mexico.
