Biography

Dr. Grimmer received her DNP from Chamberlain College of Nursing, in 2017, her MSN with a concentration in education from the University of New Mexico College of Nursing in 2008, her BSN from the University of New Mexico College of Nursing in 2002, and her first degree in nursing (ADN) from Central New Mexico Community College School of Nursing in 1998. Dr. Grimmer brings over 20 years of extensive and varied nursing work experience to her teaching and instruction in nursing. Work experience includes NICU, L&D, Outpatient Infusion Center, Operating Room, Clinical Education Specialist, and clinical and didactic nursing education that includes both on ground and online nursing courses. Dr. Grimmer values working with students and demonstrates a great passion for teaching. Dr. Grimmer enjoys sharing nursing experiences and knowledge with students, and delights in learning from students as well. On a personal note, Dr. Grimmer lives in the beautiful and sunny southwest United States, is married with 2 grown daughters, 6 grandchildren, 2 cats, 1 parrot and a very spoiled husky Shepard mix that loves to play and go for daily walks. Dr. Grimmer enjoys working crossword puzzles, reading, spending time with family and travelling in her spare time.
