Biography
Dr. Kerley has been involved in active teaching mentorship in the profession of nursing for many years. Prior to joining the faculty at American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Post University, Dr. Kerley taught for several years in varying levels of nursing education from pre-licensure, RN-to-BSN, and DNP. Faculty roles, online and hybrid, include didactic, clinical instruction, and capstone advisor/committee. Clinical acute care roles include administration, education, critical care, oncology, and ambulatory surgery. Consulting roles: SME Versant GN Residences, SME acute care infusion service line development, capstone coach, tutor, mentor, editor, author, curriculum development, course content development for CEUs, and community-preventative health education. Dr. Kerley is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, Alpha Kappa At-Large Chapter, American Nurses Association (ANA), Texas Nurses Association (TNA), American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS). Additionally, Dr. Kerley holds a post graduate certificate in Health Care Education from Regis University and holds positions with StatPearls & Pearson Publishing.
