Biography

Dr. Jacqueline Bateman has been a registered nurse since 1986. She attained her ADN from Marymount University, her BSN from University of Maryland, her MSN from University of California, San Francisco which focused on the Adult Critical Care/Trauma patient, and her terminal degree, a DNP in Educational Leadership from American Sentinel University. During her career as a nurse she has had the ability to work in a variety of settings from Med/Surg nursing to Trauma Critical Care. Over the last 10 plus years she has been a nurse educator, in both the academic setting as well as the teaching hospital setting. During the last fifteen years Dr. Bateman has been working in a variety of Educational roles from the Hospital Educator role, Academia, and NCLEX preparation courses. Dr. Bateman has been published twice in the HPNA Conversations in Caring Series, and interviewed and published in the Travel Nursing Journal. Dr. Bateman is a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse who is actively involved with the HPNA and is also a Certified HPNA Educator, and ELNEC educator. She has presented at local and national conferences on the transition of Military Medics into the Nursing role, while attaining their ADN degrees and various other Hospice and Palliative Care topics.
