Biography

Dr. Debra Green began her nursing career in 1994, graduating from an Associate Degree Program in Michigan. Dr. Green received her BSN in 2006 from Ferris State University, her MSN in Nursing Education from Bethel College in 2012, and her DNP in Nursing Education Leadership from American Sentinel University in 2018. Although Dr. Green worked at the bedside in Maternal Nursing and Women’s Health for several years, she realized her love for nursing education while teaching for a community college in the clinical setting in 2004.. Dr. Green began teaching full-time in an ADN program in 2007, and is currently the Chair of the Nursing Department. She also loves teaching in an online format, and has been an adjunct nursing faculty for American Sentinel since March, 2019. Dr. Green enjoys spending with her family; her husband of almost 40 years, 4 children and spouses, and 11 grandchildren. She lives on a small “hobby” farm, and enjoys living in the country and gardening. Dr. Green enjoys camping, reading, and crossword puzzles.
