Biography
Nicole D. Barnett is a Registered Nurse turned Quality Director with a passion for nursing leadership and infection prevention. In 2019, Nicole graduated with her DNP – Executive Leadership from American Sentinel University after having achieved her MSN with a focus on Infection Prevention in 2015 from American Sentinel. In 2015, she also obtained her Certification in Infection Control (CIC) and accepted the position as Regional Manager of Infection Prevention for a 5-hospital system. As an Infection Preventionist, she was a finalist for Cincinnati Business Courier’s Health Care Hero’s Manager Award and nominated for the Health Collaborative Richard M. Smith Leadership in Quality Improvement Award. In 2016, Nicole presented before the Health Services Advisory Group on the system’s successful Clostridium difficile infection reduction initiative and in 2017, she co-presented on the regional Mercy Health reduction of healthcare associated Clostridium difficile infection rates at the National Association for Healthcare Quality’s Annual Conference (NAHQ).
