Biography

Dr. Keith Jenkins, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, AGNP-C, MSN started his health care career in 1996 working in a hospital laboratory as a phlebotomist while obtaining his first degree in medical laboratory science. He later earned his A.A.S in nursing from Roane State Community College in 2002. After working in the ICU, ED, home care, and administration for 9 years he returned for his MSN from University of Southern Indiana and a post-master’s certificate as a family nurse practitioner and psychiatric nurse practitioner. As a nurse practitioner he worked in numerous setting including urgent care, primary care, and behavioral health. He started his teaching career in an ADN program at ACT college of nursing as an instructor and has also taught at US University teaching a variety of nursing courses with his passion being pharmacology and pathophysiology. His areas of interest and research are psychological disorders in children and adolescents.
