Ms. Atwood serves her community through the local Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) through the local hospital. Ms. Atwood’s teaching philosophy is as follows; “Teaching shapes learning, learning shapes teaching. This is the philosophy that helps drive me as an educator; we are always learning whether we recognize it or not. It is my passion for learning and growth development that I hope to pass to those whom I instruct. I believe that learning is a journey. My goal is to mentor and guide learners along this journey so that they can assimilate concepts into real life situations. I understand that a challenge as an educator is to find what sparks the learner to learn. I feel that learning should be interactive, fun, and enduring.”
