Biography
Dr. Desiree Bonnet has been a nurse since 2008 and involved in nursing education since 2012. She has experience in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonology, and Organ Transplantation. Her research interests include Cystic Fibrosis and diversifying roles for Nurse Practitioners. She is an established speaker on various pulmonary topics, including Cystic Fibrosis, Respiratory illness in Pediatrics as well as Lung Transplantation. She currently practices in the area of Interstitial Lung Disease and Lung transplant. She has been a long-term clinical preceptor for Nurses and Nurse Practitioner students. She desires to “help students use their passion for nursing to make an impact.” She is a mother to an energetic little boy, and in her spare time, she enjoys being with her family on the beaches in Florida. “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others” – Mahatma Gandhi
