Biography

Dona Clarin has been a nurse for over 25 years, and has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 16 years. Her current clinical practice is in primary care pediatrics and medicare assessments. Her past work experience as a FNP has been in inner city primary care, pediatric neurology, correctional care, and urgent care. Her educational background is BSN 1995 (Harding University)., MSN 2004 (Belmont University), and DNP 2013 (Samford University) For fun, her family loves college football. They also love the northern woods of Minnesota, and she has served as the camp nurse. She and her husband have 2 children, Nathan (20) and Alexiz (19). They have 4 dogs (1 labradoodle, 1 Aussiedoodle, and 2 miniature dachshunds). They boss the family around. Dr. Clarin has a special interest in Advanced Pharmacotherpeutics, Advanced Pathophysiology for NPs, and Advanced Health Assessment. She enjoys helping students make the connections between the disease process and the clinical manifestations, and then choosing the evidence based treatment.
