Biography

Donna Burge, PhD, APRN, PMHNP-BC, CNS-BC, has been a proud member of the nursing profession since 1990. Her many roles have included perioperative nurse, hospitalist, and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner as well as educator and researcher. Throughout her career she has maintained a personal commitment to help others thrive in their educational and professional journeys. Dr. Burge earned her PhD from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship with the John A. Hartford Foundation. Dr. Burge also proudly wears the cloth of our country as a United States Navy Nurse Corps officer. Her most recent adventure was a deployment to Afghanistan. She holds dual national certifications as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and adult clinical nurse specialist. Dr. Burge currently resides in Washington, DC.
