Biography
Ms. Amitrano has expertise in a variety of health care areas, including neonatal intensive care nursing, quality and process improvement, risk management, patient safety and nursing leadership. Currently, she is a patient safety manager at a large ambulatory surgical center and a program manager, overseeing patient safety specialists worldwide. Ms. Amitrano has taught online at the University of Phoenix since 2010 and is a former adjunct faculty member at Russell Sage College, her alma mater. She is a member of the National Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International and has received several awards for her work in health care.
