Biography

Dr. Van Natta began her nursing career as an aide in a long-term health care. She went on to earn a diploma which allowed her to become an R.N. From there, she spent most of her years in critical care at the bedside and leadership roles and went into ambulatory care. Her experiences also include medical mission, burn units, prisons, NICU, and locked mental health facilities. Dr. Van Natta has worked on developed clinical practice guidelines for the DoD/VA from the ground up to the bedside. She helped with building a new clinic and new EMR programs for the military. Dr. Van Natta earnd a BSN and MSN in Education, so she could teach nursing. She also earned a Post Master’s Certificate in Adult-Geriatric NP and most recently, completed her DNP. Dr. Van Natta enjoys research and expanding her dissertation on the dangers of OTC medications and the elderly. Dr. Van Natta is married, a mother of four, a grandmother of two, and has two best friends with fur and four legs.
