Biography

Mr. Gabriel Schmidbauer is a geographer, executive, project manager, director and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) professional. Gabriel loves maps, analytics and data in general. Gabriel loves teaching and training everybody the power of GIS, geography and analytics. For the same token, Gabriel is always looking to expand upon his current skillsets. Gabriel’s professional experience has happily brought him far off lands like Tokyo, Dutch Harbor, Suriname and now back home to Buffalo, New York. Gabriel is also an entrepreneur and longtime leader. Gabriel also likes to use his skills within a number of board and volunteer capacities. Gabriel previously worked for Department of the Interior, NOAA, and his very own successful start-up firm Blue Planet GIS. Gabriel earned a Bachelors in Goegraphy and an Masters of Science in Geographic Information Systems from State University of New York, Buffalo.
