Biography

Dr. Alejandro is the Director of Care Management at the University of California Irvine Health, Assistant Professor at Mount St. Mary University at Los Angeles, and Adjunct Faculty, Nursing at American Sentinel University. Dr. Alejandro currently serves as President (2018-2020) of the Case Management Society of America. Previously, he served two terms as CMSA’s National Treasurer. He is a prominent expert in case management and working with at-risk populations. Dr. Alejandro was the 15th President (2012-2014) of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses. He is Treasurer of the International Honor Society of Nursing Building Corporation of Sigma Theta Tau International and President of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing Foundation. Dr. Alejandro is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Academy of Nursing. He is certified in case management by the American Nursing Credentialing Center, Commission for Case Management Certification and the American Case Management Association. In addition to CMSA, he is a member of the American Academy of Nursing, American Association of Men in Nursing, American Organization of Nurse Executives, National Forum for Latino Healthcare Executives (NFLHE), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), National League for Nursing (NLN), Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (STTI), American Nurses Association (ANA), National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) and Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN).
