Biography

Dr. Yehle has more than two decades of experience preparing quality nurses in the Associate Degree Nursing program at Western Technical College, where she was program head and a nursing faculty member. She participated and designed distance education and ground based courses for a state-wide curriculum for the Wisconsin Technical College System. She has taught undergraduate nursing distance education courses for over ten years. Her clinical background includes directing and managing patient care in a medical/surgical unit, coronary care unit and trauma emergency center. Recently, Dr. Yehle was an information systems educational specialist for the University of Arizona Health Network, where she taught physicians, nurse practitioners and nurses how to use a variety of electronic resources as well as updating them on meaningful use requirements. Her PhD doctoral research focused on knowledge attainment of undergraduate nursing students within an online virtual 3D simulated nursing practice environment. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, American Nurses Association, and American Nursing Informatics Association.
