Biography
Dr. Nappo is the director of renal services in the acute/chronic unit at the University of Florida Health, Shands Hospital, in Gainesville, Florida. He has held a number of leadership and other positions at Shands—which he joined in 1996—including nurse manager of the burn center, nurse manager of the bone marrow transplant program, advanced registered nurse practitioner in the burn/wound center, and RN in the burn intensive care unit. Dr. Nappo has published his research in Clinical Kidney Journal and American Journal of Infection Control. He is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the Florida Organization of Nurse Executives and the Florida Nurses Association.
