Biography
Dr. Scalzo is a historian with specialized knowledge in Renaissance and reformation Europe as well as medieval and modern European history. He is an experienced online instructor with instructional design experience and training who currently teaches as an adjunct at American Public University, Finger Lakes Community College, National University and Excelsior College. He has taught at Empire State College and Kaplan University as well. Dr. Scalzo is a native Italian and speaks Italian and French. He is a proofreader for Project Gutenberg, the oldest producer of academic e-books, and a reader for the Advanced Placement World History exam by the Educational Testing Service. Dr. Scalzo was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship in 1991-1992 to study in Italy.
