Biography

Mr. Wells attended Georgia Southern University for both undergraduate and graduate degrees in biology, with research focusing on vector transmitted pathogens. He was awarded a guest researcher position at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the division of parasitic diseases, where he assisted in laboratory research and field work during the 2002 outbreak of West Nile Virus that resulted in a total of 4,156 cases, including 284 fatalities. Mr. Wells has taught both online and onsite for more than 15 years in the biological sciences. He has taught at all levels from undergraduate to graduate, with courses including Human Anatomy and Physiology, General Biology, Public Health and Emerging Diseases. Mr. Wells has also authored many published study guides, co-authored scientific journal articles, created emerging disease presentations for the federal government, and developed biologically based courses for universities over the years. He currently lives in Crestview, Florida with his wife.
