Biography

Dr. Cartlidge is an urban geographer by formal training with specialization in spatial modeling and multivariate statistics. He currently works as a school planner in the Washington D.C. metro area, where he forecasts student enrollment and guides the capital improvement process for a large public school division. In his previous experience, he has taught geography courses at the University of Nebraska and Kansas State University. While earning his B.S., M.A., and Ph.D. in geography, he worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation as a GIS Analyst. Dr. Cartlidge enjoys outdoor recreation with cycling being his favorite activity. He has freelanced several hiking/biking trail mapping projects, throughout Kansas and Nebraska. Dr. Cartlidge brings his professional experience as an analyst, researcher, freelancer, and manager to the classroom with the intent of helping his students succeed in their individual careers.
