Biography
Dr. Miller started her career in acute medical- surgical unit as a staff nurse. Then became a full time certified case manager working in a variety of areas, from Insurance Case Manager, Utilization Review Specialist, and Bundles Payment Care Initiative (BPCI) Case Manager for OrthoCarolina, one of the largest orthopedic practices in North Carolina. Dr. Miller was an adjunct professor for Johns Hopkins University, School of Nursing, and an Assistant Professor at Bowie State University. She currently teaches with Chamberlain College of Nursing full time as an Assistant Professor as well as per diem in Utilization Review for The George Washington University Hospital. She is a member of Case Management Society of America (CMSA) Charlotte chapter and the Academy of Medical – Surgical Nurses (AMSN). She is also certified in case management and medical surgical nursing.
