Biography

Dr. Hadley Sporbert worked for Longwood University from 2009-2016 in both the BSN program and RN to BSN completion program teaching across both curriculums. She graduated in 1994 with her associate degree in nursing and has spent the better half of the last twenty years clinically practicing in public and home health arenas as a nurse manager and home care supervisor. She returned to school from 2004-2009 obtaining both her Bachelor of Science in nursing and a Masters degree in nursing education. In 2013 she completed her second master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner and completed her DNP from Radford University in 2015. In 2015 she was the guest speaker for Longwood University nursing pinning ceremony and in 2014 she was honored to speak at a mortar board student conference. In 2013 she was named one of the top 20 nursing professors in Virginia and has been recognized by Longwood University’s student organizations: Tri-sigma, Alpha Delta Pi, and the seven pillars of Princeps for her ongoing student support and leadership. In 2012 she received the Virginia National Student Association’s Most Supportive Faculty Member award and in 2011 she was the recipient of the Outstanding First Year Student Advocate Award. Currently Dr. Sporbert works for Fayetteville Technical Community College as an academic coordinator in the Associate Degree Nursing Program. She resides in North Carolina with her dog Molly and cat Astro.
