Biography

Mrs. Catrina Horton is a professor and faculty member of American Sentinel University since 2015. Professor Horton's has a B.A. degree from George Mason University in Government and Political Science and an M.B.A in Business with a Minor in Human Resources Management from American Sentinel. Professor Horton obtained Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2009. She is desires to return to school to obtain a PhD in Leadership. Professor Horton has previously been a contractor for the Federal Government for over 20 years working with various agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the FBI, the Department of Army and Air Force, Defense Manpower Data Center, and several other agencies. As a consultant, she has supported various projects to include Contracts Management, Financial Management/Budgeting, and Project Management. She also has experience in teaching and mentoring junior staff members since 2005. Professor Horton is the President/CEO of BTC Consulting LLC which is a small business management consulting firm. This firm empowers people to “be the change” by providing professional and personal life skills, organization management, budgeting and finance, training, mentoring, and other services to encourage success based on integrity and important core values. Professor Horton currently resides in Stafford, VA with her husband. They have a beautiful family of six daughters. In their free time, the Hortons enjoy traveling to the beach, bike riding, and talking long nature walks.
